The goal and focus of my work is to use the power of the image and its story to create a connection between a cause, project or program, and its audience. By evoking emotions such as empathy and compassion, the viewer feels connected to a story, and is willing to engage. Personal stories are the best, as the story of a fellow human is what we most relate to. The deeper the emotion, the stronger the engagement.
I am based in Yaounde, Cameroon and work extensively in the Central and West African region. Currently, I am a Senior Communication and Visibility Consultant for several United Nations organizations, such as UNESCO, WFP, UNAIDS, UNOPS, IOM, as well as The World Bank and GIZ, NGOs, small and large businesses, magazines, independent artists, fashion designers, and models.
I hold a MA degree in Social Design from the Maryland Institute of Art (MICA), a Diploma in professional photography from The Washington School of Photography (WSP) and a MA in Communication from the University of Bonn in Germany.
I’ve created my own signature Phone Photography Masterclass to equip people with the tools to tell their own story, by now I’ve trained over 500 UN staff.
To bridge the gap and shortcomings of stock-imagery, I’ve also recently launched my own IMAGE BANK, catering exclusively to the need of international organizations and NGOs.
No assignment is too small or too big.
Can't wait to hear from you!
